40 week update!

Tomorrow is my due date. Big Daddy and I were in Starbuck's last night (me for a yummy decaf latte), and someone asked me when I was due... Sunday, I said. How fun to see his shocked look! I don't think people expect such an impending answer to that question.

Yesterday was my last official day at work. I think that making that break and now mentally refocusing on having this baby is going to really help. I was having regular contractions this past Wednesday night, almost four hours of mild contractions 7 minutes apart or so, but then it ended.

Overall I'm feeling well. Doc appt (incl. a sono and fetal monitoring) showed baby is healthy & active, estimated at 8.5 lbs and long.

We're working with our doula on some safe homeopathic methods to try to help nature bring on labor. I think my docs will give me until this coming Friday before I will have to schedule a section (will evalulate at my upcoming doc appt this Wed), so I have a week to relax, mentally focus, enjoy quality time with Big Daddy and Lil Daddy, maybe just maybe even find some time to pray!

My hope is for a delivery around Wednesday, to give a few days and then let the fun, blessings and chaos begin!
