SPEAKING of Milestones...

This morning I woke up to the rustling sounds of lil'bro. Lil'daddy was at the grandparent's place and Counting Blessings was out grocery shopping. The house was quiet. I could hear lil'bro moving around his crib as I got up. The day was definitely starting out well...

Lil'bro was smiling ear to ear as I scooped him up for morning hugs. Standard-daddy-operating-procedure calls for a diaper change and fresh clothes. On his diaper changing table, I make the diaper change sign. "Diapey change", I say in my soft baby voice. "da da" lil'bro responds! "DA DA", I say!? A huge smile beems from lil'bro's face.

I don't really know if he associates me with "dada" but it's official! He has said his first word. He said it a handful of times over the course of the day! Another Proud Daddy Day.
