Lil'daddy Rocks!
I'm sure we've mentioned how lil'daddy has taken a liking to the musical Playstation games... He knows quite a repertoire of music from the Singstar series of Karaoke games. Strolling through the Best Buy music aisle, he can and has recognized many of the CD covers and recalled their artists. Tonight's post is not about Singstar and the boys vocal abilities. No.
Tonight's post is about how he rocks on Guitar Hero! Yesterday his biggest thrill was when he beat me in faceoff mode (I might have been taking it easy on him). Today he spent a good portion of his video game time in practice mode. At this point he navigates the menus and knows how to set up the game on his own, so I went inside to fix him a snack. After coming back in the room, I see him practicing a song. After a few seconds watching the screen, I see a chord scroll down. In this case, it was a 2 note chord. (hold 2 fret buttons & strike strum bar) Before I could ask, "What? Do you have it on medium?" The boy strikes the chord and even fully sustains it out! - ah... I shut up and let him play.
After his pratice, he wants me to play with him. He sets up the song and chooses characters, guitars, etc. We face off playing "I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls. Me on Hard and him on Easy. He's having a good time. I'm having a good time. I hear him picking up some notes where I'm missing! I hear him pulling on the wah-wah bar during sustains! The end results pop up. He scores 7,843!!! (His previous high score on any song had been around 3,000.) In case you forgot he's only 3 years old!
He's hitting the notes, He can hit Chords. He likes the wah-wah. Lil'daddy ROCKS! I hope to get some video up real soon too because he has rock star moves as well!

One small addition, to note that Lil Daddy's video game time is really just limited to an hour a day.. I think he's better than me now at the game!
