Full Steam Ahead!
We HAVE been Busy! My last post was nearly 2 weeks ago. In that time Mommy and I have been doing much planning and check writing! I have been courting a new Home Depot and I think it's getting serious. :) That's enough of a hint from me until we make an official Blog announcement!
What I've created this post to share has not to do with the big changes in our household. The reason, plainly, is just the joy the past few weeks has brung in the form of lil' daddy smiles. Mommy mentioned the counting to Eight and that one blows me away! He is getting quicker at his puzzles (even the new ones) and the nesting & stacking of blocks. He is giving more unsolicited daddy kisses this days.
He has begun to really enjoy those Dr Seuss books we started buying before he was born, and his attention span can often take him through two books. That's with reading and expanding the story describing the pictures. I love reading to him,
With the point of a finger and sideways smile, John points, Sir, to the bottled embattled Fox in socks, Sir, and says "FOCKS"!
He points across the room to the 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" animal pictures that are on the top half of our fridge and says grrafff, ssnake, Bay-ar, seali-on, lephard, ee-goo (eagle), Ba-boon, mowse, birrd, munkey, mooos. We are working on the difference between a lion and tiger. (It seems that anything lion-like that is orangey, regardless of spots or stripes, are lions :) He has had super times at his last few Gymboree classes, and in the past couple weeks we've only had a few difficult days. I think 4 more teeth are coming in! These ones are taking their time! In general though, happy baby is making for happy baby daddy!
Oh, and speaking of things bought before john was born that he is just now using...
He finally fits in those Baby Gap boots with the red laces! Such a big boy our lil' daddy is becoming!

When a fox is
in the bottle where
the tweetle beetles battle
with their paddles
in a puddle on a
noodle-eating poodle,
THIS is what they call...
...a tweetle beetle
noodle poodle bottled
paddled muddled duddled
fuddled wuddled
fox in socks, sir!
