Six people, four cups of tea and one picture....
Oh, and one tasty bananna cream pie!
This past Saturday was a great leisurely break for us -- we all piled in the car, drove a few hours and were warmly welcomed at the home of friends: Mater, Pater and Linnaea.
This was our first chance to meet Linnaea, a darling, bright-eyed, inquisitive 15 week old. We've been watching Linnaea grow from afar, via her blog, and it was a treat to meet her. For myself, it was a treat to hold such a little baby again, as my little baby is all-too-quickly becoming (or indeed is) a little boy.
Mater offered us a tasty, apple spice tea. We shared tea and parenting stories, all the while, trying to keep our son from obsconding their many pets -- all-in-all, a joyous afternoon was had by all! (oh yes, and there was a little bit about delicious nutbrown ale, quiches and pie). The day itself was cold, raining and damp, but nothing that could diminish the joy of parents and their little ones (and beer, did we mention beer? no, the little ones did not have beer..)
So there you have it -- six people, four cups of tea and now for a picture, Vito's comment was that Mater and I looked like the happiest moms ever:

Our thanks to Mater & Pater for having us as their guests. We pray that God's gentle hand continues to guide and protect sweet Linnaea.
