"Hi. I'm a mac."

And in the parts bin, is PC. PC got a little hot under the collar with all the pictures and video editing I asked him to do. It must've been eating him up that I wasn't doing more important work these days. When we first met we kept trim'n'fit with analyses and graphics intensive work. PC's 17" screen and raw power were sights to behold. Maybe it was the menial tasks of collecting email, blog posting and web surfing that was the last straw. Back in February or March, PC's video card fried. PC was a laptop and being such was not a prime candidate for the invasive surgery required to get back on his feet. PC, for a long time I missed you and didn't know how I'd get along without you. While I enjoyed our time together and I wish you rest in peace, I will not miss you anymore.

Finally, there's a new dog in town. He may only have a 13" screen but his resolution is nice on the eyes. And speaking of nice on the eyes, his slim white polycarbonate shell is not so bad either. With a Core 2 Duo and dual Layer DVD-R he's no pretty boy trailer queen. I don't want to turn this into a "whatever you can do, he can do better". Suffice to say, he's a mac.

By popular demand... (Video)

Lil'daddy and I went strawberry picking this week. We had an awesome time! I am proud to announce that lil'daddy did not end up with a stomach ache from eating too many strawberries. I won't mention though, the adventures of the daddy diaper changing duties that shortly followed.

The BOY sure didn't mind recounting that part to everyone in detail. Several relatives received various warnings regarding the perils of "toooo many" strawberries! In the telling of our strawberry picking stories, we had requests for some of the pictures and videos we claimed to have. For your enjoyment...

On our way to the strawberry fields we passed the cherry trees. Cherries will be ready in a couple weeks...

Note the sound of the strawberry landing in the box and what I say while he's walking away!

This one is from last weekend from the farm...

What do you think? Do you think Lil'daddy was throwing rocks and sticks at the bell?

Differing views of marriage

One of my friends has been heard to offhandly comment that a (particular) marriage won't last a year. I hope that person is wrong. I'm not an idealistic romantic, I'm actually becoming quite cynical these days. But I believe in marriage. I believe in the institution and that two people can make a live-long commitment to each other. I believe that God blesses that union and will give the couple the Grace and strength to bear the Crosses that come in marriage and shine its Glory as well. I believe in Love. And yes, I believe in all of this for any commitment couples that dedicates to it, regardless of sexuality.

I hope that person is wrong. I think it will last.
